Restaurant Reservation Software for Small Restaurants
GetReserve gives independent restaurants and neighborhood dining rooms their own online booking page, a reservation book the whole team can see, a floor plan, a waitlist, guest profiles and reservation reports. It runs in the browser on desktop, tablet or phone.
Built for independent restaurants and neighborhood dining rooms
One system for online reservations, tables and floor plans, the waitlist, guest profiles and reservation analytics — with a free plan and fixed monthly pricing.
How to choose reservation software for a small restaurant
Start with the work your hosts repeat every service. A small restaurant may need one reliable reservation book more than a suite of marketing tools. List the tasks that cause missed bookings or staff handoff problems, then run the same test in every system you evaluate.
| Task | What to check | GetReserve fit |
|---|---|---|
| Take a direct booking | Open the restaurant page on a phone, choose a party size and time, and check how pending and confirmed bookings differ. | GetReserve provides a hosted booking page with configurable confirmation rules. |
| Run the host stand | Add a phone booking, assign its table, add a walk-in and find the guest notes without keeping a second book. | Reservations, walk-ins, table assignments and guest records share the same operational workflow. |
| Handle a full service | Join the waitlist for a full slot, update its status and turn a waiting party into a reservation when a suitable table opens. | GetReserve supports a waitlist. Staff manage notifications; automated SMS is not included. |
| Change a reservation | Use a booking code to change or cancel within the configured rules, then inspect the booking history on the staff side. | Guests can manage bookings online, and staff can review status history. |
| Review last week's bookings | Compare covers, cancellations, no-shows and busiest hours. Ask whether revenue figures come from actual sales or estimates. | GetReserve reports reservation data. It does not connect POS spend or inventory data. |
Compare the complete cost
Write down the subscription, setup costs, communication charges, marketplace cover charges and payment-processing fees that apply to your use case. Ask which booking sources incur each charge. A free plan is useful only when its limits fit your rooms, tables and workflow.
GetReserve publishes a Free plan and fixed monthly paid plans. Check the current pricing and plan limits, and confirm any onboarding or support entitlement before choosing a plan. Do not assume every competing subscription charges per booking.
Decide what must connect
If deposits, prepaid experiences, POS spend, automated SMS, marketing campaigns or hotel PMS integration are essential, make them explicit requirements. GetReserve does not currently provide those capabilities. Its guest CRM focuses on visit history, notes, tags and preferences.
Marketplace discovery is a separate decision from running the reservation book. Assess how guests find you before comparing OpenTable and direct booking or operational CRM and SevenRooms.
Plan the handover before sharing a new link
Choose one authoritative reservation book for each service. Inventory existing future bookings, cancellation rules and guest notes; confirm what can be transferred before cancelling your current provider. GetReserve does not promise an automatic competitor import or two-way synchronization. Set up the floor plan and train staff on a test service, then change your booking links after checking the guest experience on mobile.
Use cases
- For a small team, test the complete workflow: accept a website booking, add a phone booking, assign a table and seat a walk-in from the same book.
- Start with your table capacity, booking duration and confirmation rules. Compare the Free plan's limits with the number of rooms and images you need before choosing a paid plan.
- Choose a dedicated reservation platform when table flow is the problem. If you need stock control, sales reporting or payroll, evaluate those systems separately.
Examples
- Guests get an email confirmation with a booking code and can change or cancel online within your cancellation window, so cancelling is easier than simply not turning up.
- Share one booking link on your website, Google Business Profile, Instagram or a QR code on the table.
- Hosts see reservations, the waitlist, the floor plan and guest notes in one place, and reservation updates appear live for everyone on shift.

FAQ
Questions about restaurant reservation software for small restaurants
Who is restaurant reservation software for small restaurants for?
It is for independent restaurants and neighborhood dining rooms that want their own online booking and a clear view of every service.
Does GetReserve support both reservations and walk-ins?
Yes. Staff can add phone and walk-in bookings to the same reservation book as online bookings, and guests can join a waitlist from your booking page when a time is full.
Can GetReserve replace marketplace-style booking tools?
GetReserve is your own booking channel rather than a marketplace: guests book on your page, the guest data belongs to your restaurant, and there is no commission or per-cover fee. There is a free plan, and paid plans are a fixed monthly price. It won't put you in front of a marketplace's audience, so you may want to keep a marketplace listing while you build direct bookings.
